The writer….

Why I write?

Cassandra’s life is a great story.

This site is not about her visual impairment.

It is about what she can accomplish despite it.

It’s about her personality and her dreams.

It’s about an 12 year old girl and her love of figure skating.

I have found out recently that other parents with children that have Albinism and/or vision impairments are interested in Cassandra’s story as she gives them hope for their children.

I publish this site hoping that I do Cassandra’s story justice, that she one day will read this and know that everything her father and I do is with her best interests at heart.

We try to push her harder because we know she can. She has.

A wise woman wrote to me recently and this is what she said….

“A disability is not that…..it is an ability to teach, shed light….actually a God given voice/platform, if you will…..”

Cassandra is anything but disabled, in fact she is more able than anyone else I know!

She has great spirit and determination, she is strong and so passionate, yet she is humble at the same time.

She forms her own opinions and does what many people tell her she can’t do! Her famous words during her TV news appearance “It goes in one ear, out the other”!

That’s my girl!

I hope you enjoy her site.

Sincerely,

Louise
